Description
The Salix matsudana ‘Tortuosa’, otherwise known as the “Dragon’s Claw Willow” is a rapidly growing tree noted for its round head of twisted and contorted branches and leaves. Summer foliage is bright green above and whitish-green below, and is more drought tolerant than other willows. Makes for a breathtaking specimen, particularly in winter. Branches make for an interesting floral arrangement addition to add a sculptural element.

- Soil: well drained, regular garden soil
- Spacing: 15 – 25′
- Height at maturity: 12 – 18″
- Pruning: branches can be trimmed in the fall. May be pruned in late winter.
